Welcome. This is the short version — the handful of steps that take you from a new account to a live booking page. You can do it in one sitting. Your admin also shows a running setup checklist (with time estimates) on every page until you're done, so you can always pick up where you left off.
1. Confirm your business details (~2 min)
Settings → Business details. Check your business name and contact info, and set your booking address — the web address guests will use, like book.artistryhost.com/yourvenue. We pre-fill the yourvenue part from your business name; change it to match your brand if you'd like. This is also where your booking page gets its name.
While you're in Settings, glance at Brand & theme (add your logo and colors) and Regional settings (timezone and currency). You can come back to these any time.
2. Decide how guests pay — then connect Square only if you need it (~2 min)
ArtistryHost gives each experience one of three reservation flows:
- No Card Required — guests book with no card and no payment info; they pay at the venue. The simplest option, and the default for a new experience.
- Card on File — guests save a card securely to hold the spot, then pay in person. The card is never charged unless your late-cancellation or no-show policy applies — and only when you decide.
- Full Prepayment — the whole amount is paid at booking, including Apple Pay and Google Pay.
If every experience you offer is No Card Required, you don't need Square at all — skip ahead. If you'll use Card on File or Full Prepayment, connect Square under Settings → Payments & fees. It takes about two minutes and every payment lands in your own Square account.
3. Add your first location (~3 min)
Locations → Add a location. Enter the address and timezone. If you connected Square, pick which Square location this venue uses for payments. Most operators have one location; add as many as you run.
4. Create and publish your first experience (~6 min)
Experiences → Add an experience. Give it a name, a photo or two, a price, and a party-size range, then choose its payment mode (see step 2). Publish it when it's ready — only published experiences show to guests.
5. Set your schedule (~4 min)
From the experience, set the days and times guests can book. That's what turns a published experience into bookable slots on your page. (Running a different featured experience each month? The seasonal calendar rotates experiences by date automatically.)
6. Put booking on your website
Your booking page is already live at your booking address. The last step is sending guests to it: add a "Book now" button to your existing site and link it there. It works on Squarespace, Wix, and WordPress, on any plan, with no code. Full walkthrough: adding booking to your website.
It's worth wiring your Google Business Profile "Book" button to the same address too — that captures guests who find you in Google Maps.
You're live — now watch it come in
- Run sheet is your day-of view: who's booked, party sizes, check-in.
- Turn on notifications (Settings → Notifications) so a new booking pings your phone the moment it lands — install the app to your home screen for push.
